Website & SEO — Case Study

A brand-new website to nearly 300 Google clicks a month, in five months.

Thriving Kiwi · NZ health & wellness guide · Website, content & SEO by Mahi Digital

Starting from zero.

Thriving Kiwi is an independent New Zealand guide to supplements, wellness experiences and sustainable living, with one firm rule: recommend Kiwi and Australian brands, bought from local sellers. It launched in April 2026 on a brand-new domain with no history, no links and no audience.

It's up against big retailers and overseas review sites, the same uphill start most local businesses face online. We built the site and run its content and SEO.

Built it right, then published steadily.

We built a fast WordPress site with the technical basics done properly from day one: clean page titles and descriptions, structured data Google can read, sitemaps, and Search Console watched every week.

Then came the steady part: more than 70 genuinely useful, NZ-specific guides, published on a schedule. Every article opens with a short, plain answer to the question people actually search, then backs it up. Every recommended product is checked to exist and to be sold in New Zealand, and related guides link to each other so readers (and Google) find the next useful page.

We also track every click out to a brand, so we can show those brands exactly how many readers we send them.

Daily Google clicks went from about 2 a day to about 15 a day, and the curve is still climbing. Along the way the site has sent around 450 readers straight to New Zealand brands' websites.

None of it is paid. It's the same steady approach behind our Local Growth and Full Service plans: get the foundations right, keep publishing useful pages, and let Google do the rest.
